Snake Meadow Leagues and Dinners

Pitch League

Returning to our ClubHouse for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak, the 2023 Pitch League wrapped up its Season. 14 teams of 2 players participated in this every Tuesday night event, starting back in January 2023 and finishing just before our 2023 Game Dinner. The Bar in the Clubhouse was open during these Tuesday night sessions, as was the Kitchen, offering snacks and starters to the players for their evening of play.

The final night concluded with a Steak Dinner for all players put on by the Kitchen Committee, wrapping up a solid return to this Club Tradition.

The next league will be announced on our Events Calendar and Club News Feed here:

The Officers and Board of Directors continue to examine other game league opportunities, to say subscribe to our Club News Feed for updates!

Annual Game Dinner

Our Annual Game Dinner has always been a large-draw event open to the public, with tickets traditionally being sold out just 2-3 weeks after it is announced. Spearheaded by our Kitchen, Bar and Club House Committees, this event takes the support and involvement of all of the members, starting with our meal sourcing.Club members donate 100% of the wild game utilized in the dinners, with previous meals having 5-7 courses including pheasant, goose, venison, beaver, sheep and moose.

The Clubhouse committees prepare the venue, while the Bar prepares services of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our guests. The Ground Committee ensures that parking, pathways and the Clubhouse exterior are ready to receive our guests for the evening.

The Kitchen Committee are the real unsung heroes of the event, often preparing as early as 4-6 weeks in advance, as well as constant work for the 3-5 days leading up to the dinner.

At the dinner, guests are able to participate in our raffles, which include donations of equipment and supplies from local businesses, as well as our members. We generally have a 50/50, a silent bag raffle and a major item raffle, which often includes a major outdoor piece of equipment, such as a firearm, kayak or other outdoor gear.  Typically, our doors for the dinner opens approx 1 hour prior to the start of the meal, which will typically last 3-4 hours.

This event is a highlight of the season for our members and is a long-standing club tradition of sharing our outdoor passion with the community.

Annual Surf/Turf Dinner

With our Game Dinner being popular the Board of Directors is considering bringing back another meal tradition that was suspended during the COVID-19 outbreak: The Surf and Turf Dinner. This was originally an off-shoot of our popular Steak Nights, as the combination of a Steak and a Seafood Item was a well-received idea.

The restoration of this dinner is still a work-in-progress, as the Board of Directors and Officers are working to establish all the details of how this event will take place.
